Dorm Room Decor

Transforming Leah’s dorm room at BYU was all about making the most of a small space with simple decor and smart organization solutions. Leah now has a cozy, functional, and stylish room where she can thrive both academically and personally.

1. Bedding

Leah wanted a neutral palette so the overall vibe of the room is peaceful and calm. She opted for a white duvet that is so fluffy and cozy! Her sheet set is a small blue floral pattern that adds a darling, feminine touch!

2. Wall Decor

We definitely didn’t want everything to be white in the space, so we added color and texture via some artwork and basket-like wall hangings.

Looking to revamp your own dorm room? Here are some helpful products that’ll get your space organized in no time!

1. Under-Bed Storage Bins

Maximize space by using the often-overlooked area under the bed. These under-bed storage bins are perfect for keeping shoes, clothes, or extra bedding out of sight but easily accessible.

2. Over-the-Door Organizers

Utilize vertical space with over-the-door organizers. They’re perfect for storing shoes, accessories, or toiletries, making the most of every inch of Leah’s room.

3. Stackable Drawers

For small spaces, stackable drawers are a lifesaver. Use them to keep snacks, school supplies, and personal items neatly stored and easily reachable.

4. Desk Organizers

A tidy study area is crucial for college success. Desk organizers keep pens, notebooks, and other study essentials in order, so you can stay focused and productive.

5. Multi-Functional Hangers

Save closet space with space-saving hangers that are thin, and multi-functional hangers that can hold multiple garments at once. These are great for organizing clothes efficiently in a small closet.

6. Bedside Caddy

Attach a bedside caddy to keep books, gadgets, and other nighttime essentials within arm’s reach, making your bedtime routine more convenient.

A collapsible laundry basket is perfect for carrying clothes to the laundry room and folds away neatly when not in use, saving valuable space.

A rolling cart serves multiple purposes, from storing snacks and kitchen supplies to organizing toiletries and cleaning supplies.

13. Storage Ottoman

A storage ottoman can double as seating and extra storage for blankets, books, or other items. Leah keeps hers right by her bed so so she can use it as a step stool to get into that tall bed!

14. Bulletin Board and Dry Erase Calendar

Stay organized with a bulletin board and calendar for the wall to keep track of your schedule and important reminders.

15. Appliances
