Let’s be real—spring cleaning sounds great in theory…

Until you’re staring at a mile-long to-do list and wondering when exactly you’re supposed to fit it in between soccer practice, snack refills, and that mysterious pile of laundry that won’t stop multiplying.

Enter: the 5-minute clean.
No stress. No full-house deep clean. Just a few high-touch areas that are begging for a little love (and by “love” I mean a Clorox wipe).

What We’re Tackling Today:

  • Light switches
  • Baseboards
  • Door knobs (just the doors—no need to get into cupboard hardware today)

Here’s How It Works:

  1. Grab your weapon of choice:
    • Clorox wipe
    • Baby wipe
    • Damp microfiber cloth
(Basically whatever’s nearby that won’t judge you.)
  2. Set a timer for 5 minutes.
Wipe down as many light switches as you can before the timer goes off.
This is not a perfection project—it’s a “let’s make this less disgusting” project.
  3. Set that timer again and move to the baseboards.
Just focus on the worst offenders: hallways, bathrooms, and wherever dust and Goldfish crumbs like to hang out.
You’ll be amazed how much better things feel with just a little swipe.
  4. Final 5-minute round: door knobs.
Think front door, bathrooms, kids’ bedrooms. Hit the high-traffic zones and call it good.

That’s it. You’re done.

Not the whole house.
Not hours of cleaning.
Just 15 minutes total (or even just 5 if that’s all you’ve got today).

And here’s the beauty of it:

You can pick up where you left off the next time you’ve got a spare 5–15 minutes.

No pressure. No guilt. Just little wins that add up.

So go ahead and wipe away the mystery smudges, the sticky fingerprints, and the germs.

You’ll feel like a cleaning wizard—with time left to sit down and eat a snack without sharing.

P.S. If you’re following along with the Mini Spring Challenge, give yourself a gold star for Day 3! You crushed it.
