Make your week smoother and more organized with the Sunday SIX – a simple routine of 6 weekly tasks to help you reset your home, schedule, and mindset.

Instead of dreading the start of a new week, what if you owned it before it even began?
Enter: The Sunday SIX.
This isn’t a rigid checklist or a 3-hour cleaning session. It’s a choose-your-own-adventure routine.
Each Sunday, pick six things from the list below to help your week run smoother. Some will take just a few minutes, others a bit longer—but all are designed to help you feel more in control and less like your week is running you.
Choose SIX of the following each Sunday:
1. 10-Minute Reset
Do a quick tidy of high-traffic areas—think kitchen, entryway, living room, and bathrooms. Just 10 minutes makes a big difference!
2. Budget Review
Take a few minutes to check your bank account, pay any bills, and see how your spending lined up with your budget.
3. Calendar Check
Open your calendar and coordinate appointments, practices, carpools, and any surprises that may be lurking.
4. Clear Your Counters
Wipe down kitchen and bathroom counters so Monday morning starts without last week’s crumbs.
5. Digital Declutter
Scroll through your phone and delete screenshots, duplicates, and blurry photos from the past week.
6. Family Meeting
Have a 10-minute family check-in to go over the week ahead so no one is blindsided by dentist appointments or early releases.
7. Grocery Shop
Make your list (or use last week’s if you’re smart), and place an online order to pick up Monday. Bonus: fewer impulse buys.
8. Load of Laundry
At least one load—school clothes, uniforms, or anything that’s been on “that chair” all week.
9. Meal Plan
Decide what’s for dinner before 5pm hits. Include breakfasts, lunches, and snacks if you’re feeling extra.
10. Meal Prep
Chop veggies, portion snacks, or prep anything you can ahead of time to make weekday meals less chaotic.
11. Plan Outfits
Lay out clothes for yourself and/or your kids. Mornings will be smoother and tantrums will be fewer (hopefully).
12. Plan Workouts
Even if it’s just 2-3 sessions, putting them in your calendar makes it 10x more likely they’ll happen.
13. Reflect on the Past Week
What went well? What needs a tweak? A 2-minute reflection can help you reset and refocus.
14. Self-Care
Read, take a bath, journal, move your body, or just go to bed early. You’ve earned it.
15. Sort Mail
Toss the junk, file what matters, and reclaim your countertops from that growing paper pile.
16. Sweep/Vacuum
Hit the high-traffic spots so you’re not crunching Cheerios into the carpet all week.
17. To-Do List
Get all the mental clutter out of your head and onto paper. Prioritize the big stuff and give yourself some grace.
18. Trash/Donate Bag
Fill one bag with trash or donation items. Don’t just bag it—remove it from the house. That’s key.
Why the Sunday SIX Works
- It’s flexible: Pick different tasks each week based on what needs attention.
- It’s doable: You’re only committing to six things, not a full-blown life overhaul.
- It builds momentum: Small wins on Sunday lead to smoother Mondays—and beyond.
