10 tasks in 10 minutes
Bedrooms have a special talent for looking completely reasonable one minute… and then suddenly there’s laundry on the floor, random cups on the nightstand, and something mysterious shoved under the bed!
This simple weekly bedroom reset gives the whole family an easy routine to quickly get their rooms back in order, without aiming for perfection.
It’s designed to be:
- easy
- fast
- repeatable
- family-friendly

The 10 in 10 Weekly Bedroom Reset
Set a timer for 10 minutes and move FAST. No overthinking. No organizing side quests.
If you find that these take longer to do than 10 minutes, stop! Speed is the goal, not perfection!
1. Make your bed
2. Throw away trash
3. Put anything that doesn’t belong in a basket
4. Put dirty clothes in hamper
5. Put shoes away
6. Clear nightstands + Dresser
7. Pick up everything on the floor
8. Check under the bed for clutter
9. Dust or wipe surfaces
10. Quick vacuum or sweep

Optional: 10 Minutes More
If you have another 10 minutes, here are a few bonus reset tasks:
- Empty the basket of things that don’t belong in the room
- Change sheets
- Empty bedroom trashcan
- Diffuse essential oils or spray a fresh scent
- Declutter one drawer
- Choose outfits for the week

A Few Tips to Make This Actually Work
- Keep a laundry basket handy
- Keep a separate basket for items that belong elsewhere
- Pick one day each week for everyone to reset their rooms
The first reset might take longer, that’s normal! Small resets help prevent giant disasters.
