Addie’s new pre-teen bedroom is a beautiful blend of functionality, comfort, and personal style. It’s a space where she can dream, learn, and grow!

Here are a couple more room designs I’ve done over the years: Sweet and Cozy Guest Room, Boy’s Vintage Industrial Bedroom, and Boys Tween Bedroom.

It’s been an exciting time in our home as we embarked on a special project: moving Leah to her first college dorm, and transforming Addie’s room into a dreamy, cozy, and functional space! She took a bunch of decor from her older sister’s Modern Parisian bedroom, but made a space of her very own!

The Vision

When we started Addie’s room makeover, we knew we wanted to create a space that was not only beautiful but also practical and reflective of her unique style. Our goal was to create a room where she could play, create, and relax, surrounded by the things she loves.

Choosing the Color Scheme

We decided on a soft, neutral color scheme to create a calm and inviting atmosphere. The walls are painted a light gray, and we accented this with a mix of dark and light wood furniture. I love mixing woods and metals and feel like it gives this space such a warm feel.

The Bed

The centerpiece of Addie’s new room is her simple bed. We chose a light wood frame with white bedding to create a cozy place for bedtime stories and sweet dreams.

Sitting Area

To encourage Addie’s love for reading, relaxing and chatting with friends, we created a dedicated sitting area. A comfy couch with a thrifted coffee table provides space for her books, art supplies, games, and maybe some schoolwork. A soft throw blanket and a few plush pillows make it the perfect spot for her to escape into a world of imagination.

Storage Solutions

Keeping the room organized was a priority, so we incorporated practical storage solutions. A tall bookshelf houses Addie’s favorite books and toys, while decorative baskets and bins keep everything tidy and within reach.

Addie helped with every step of this transformation, and seeing her happiness and excitement made all the planning and effort totally worthwhile!

We hope her room reveal inspires you to create a special space for your daughter. Remember, the key is to incorporate elements that reflect their personality and interests, making it a place they will cherish for years to come.

Thank you for joining me on this journey of transformation. We can’t wait to share more home projects and ideas with you soon!
